As part of this philosophy, Ecotect-Architects is committed to
ensuring environmentally-sustainable developments become the
mainstream in architecture practice. This is being achieved by
Ecotect-Architects by:
- Providing consulting and support services to architects keen to
learn more about sustainable and climate sensible design;
- Designing demonstration projects that assist built environment
specialists and relevant others, such as tradespeople and builders,
of the benefits of energy efficient buildings;
- Collaborating with large firms in association or by joint
venture to introduce sustainable development concepts;
- Delivering training and tertiary sector courses in
environmentally sustainable development;
- Providing support to younger architects;
- Talking with indigenous communities and elders to help them
achieve the type of accommodation that best meets their unique
needs;
- Working with research and demonstration institutions to apply
cutting edge technologies and construction systems for
sustainability;
- Informing and guiding politicians and their research officers
in the principles of sensible design and construction; and
- Assisting the media whenever possible to educate the whole
community in the benefits of living and working in climate friendly
homes and buildings.
