This 800-lot subdivision concept was born in 2006 when purchased
by principal Garry Baverstock. His company, Wise Earth
Syndicate P/L bought an option to investigate the development of 76
hectares of rural land that had been earmarked for residential
development in South Geraldton.
The first step of the process was to engage with the community
and local authorities on the concept envisaged for his
subdivision. Civil and hydraulic engineers were engaged to
access the engineering costs and environmental concerns in creating
a state of the art sustainable land development and housing
project
A series of workshops were organized to discuss a conceptual
master plan produced by Ecotect-Architects. Eventually the project
was joint-ventured with Mike Hulme of Hulme Developments and the
Perron Group.
The initial sub division was then detail designed and documented
in conjunction with a professional team of engineers, urban and
town planning consultants. The Ecotect-Architects planning
concept was used to be the guiding principle for the finally
approved subdivision.
This subdivision was finally on-sold to another developer who
saw merit in the planning concept and the process taken to achieve
the approvals.
