Commercial Service:
Audits (Building, Energy and Water)
Ecotect Architects are able to provide preliminary audits of
commercial energy and water consumption through our Advisory
Service. This service includes an initial analysis of
your premises to identify likely causes of excessive energy
and water consumption and the identification of possible solutions
to improve efficiency.
Over the years there has been many audits carried out as a
preliminary service. If the issues require more technical input, a
mechanical or electrical engineer is brought along as an
advisor.
Our team is able to coordinate a full audit in association with
consultants. During the 1980s and 1990s Garry Baverstock was one of
the largest energy auditors of buildings in Western Australia
completing many commercial audits that were under the Federal
Government's Enterprise audit Scheme. With the science and
engineering experience of Garry and his associate Andrew Ferguson,
the team can make sure that the building design can be analysed
along with the electrical equipment to deliver truly integrated
solutions than an engineering analysis in isolation.

The Advisory Service is provided by one of our architects who
will meet with you for up to three hours. Alternatively, an on site
meeting can be arranged if this is more appropriate to your
situation.

An initial walk through may be only the cost of a standard
Ecotect-Architect advisory fee. If a report is required, a fee of
$2,000 to $5,000 is probably the scale of costs involved. If
further work is needed then the costs of the service and time frame
involved will be reported as part of the initial report.
