Urban and Regional Planning

Ecotect Architects have been invovled in numerous successful urban and regional planning projects for a wide range of clients. Our unique approach to environmental sustainability and cost effectiveness provides a balanced process in the preparation of high quality urban and regional areas.

For many years Ecotect-Architects have been professionally involved at the big picture level.  In association with town and urban designers our team can produce macro plans and design development strategies that produce a truly sustainable built environment.

See examples of our past urban and regional planning projects in the comercial and government sections of our project gallery.

The solving of climate change relies very much on how architects and builders create our buildings in the future and how will existing buildings and infrastructure are adapted to be energy and water efficient.   An integral part of the problem is population growth and how cities adapt and change from a growth in quantity to a growth in quality.

Increasing population was desirable in the past but now is a formula for disaster and lower living standards.

Our town planning and urban design models are often produced as an interdisciplinary team effort, following a basic concept that delivers the desired results.
